COLUMBUS, Ohio (August 2, 2015) - Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is a home track for both IndyCar driver Graham Rahal and AERO™ Advanced Paint Technology. And Graham Rahal, along with his entire crew from Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, shone brightly at the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio, marking his third career win, and second of the season.
Starting from 13th position on the grid, Rahal persevered through the field, and took a fantastic break on lap 66 when a full-course caution came out as Rahal was pitting. Then he was under attack for the lead, first challenged by Simon Pagenaud, then Justin Wilson after a restart with 7 laps to go.
"This is the best day," Graham Rahal remarked. "Strategy just worked today. Sometimes things just go your way and today was one of those days." Rahal managed to secure the win, thereby dramatically changing the IndyCar Series championship points standing. Juan Pablo Montoya's 42-point lead was stymied by a lackluster 12th-place finish. The win for Rahal puts the New Albany, Ohio-native just nine points out of the lead, with two races to go in the Verizon IndyCar Championship.

The RLL Racing Honda has been painted with AERO™ Advanced Paint Technology for the last two seasons. The AERO team could not be happier to see a hometown hero take home his third career win at one of our home circuits. Especially with so much style! The technology in Graham Rahal's IndyCar was developed for aerospace, and provides drivers like Rahal a competitive advantage by reducing weight and adding significant durability to protect the car, while also providing a great aesthetic for spectators, sponsors, and fans at home.
"I can’t thank all the fans enough," Rahal stated. "The crowd today was absolutely unbelievable. This hometown crowd was amazing and I appreciate the support so much."
Stay tuned for more IndyCar action August 23rd from Pocono Raceway.
